Antonella R. Ghio Olsen - Artist

In her painting process, Antonella uses a handled rubber roller and paintbrush to layer acrylics directly onto a canvas, building rich texture and visual depth. She begins without a set composition, allowing the work to evolve through instinct and movement. Guided by a meditative rhythm, each painting reflects what she describes as “purposeful chaos”—a balance between spontaneity and structure.

Color selection plays a central role in her work and often originates from the joy she has experienced in her daily life. These meaningful personal sources—traditional textiles, folklórico dance, cultural heritage, and family memories of love and laughter—continually inspire the works she creates. Each palette is carefully mixed and applied with the intention of preserving the emotional spark that inspired it, turning internal joy into a shared visual experience.
